KeySlides — FAQ

Frequently asked questions

In KeySlides you can use multiple templates. You link each template to its own example slides, photo folders, and icon categories. That way a user always only sees slides in the style that applies at that moment.

Here too you use multiple templates, each linked to their own example slides and photo folders. The same approach lets you support presentations for different audiences or occasions.

Yes: here too you use multiple templates. By linking each template to its own slides, photos, icons, and text blocks in the correct language, you always work in the language you need.

The KeySlides user interface is available in Dutch and English. The administrator sets the default language; each user can override this according to their own preference.

Photos, icons, and text blocks are linked based on top-level folders — the administrator determines which folders are available per template. Files for Insert Slide and Insert Presentation are linked to a template per file. With Insert Slide, a window opens showing the sections from the file on the left and a preview of the slides per section on the right. With Insert Presentation, you insert an entire sub-presentation at once.

KeySlides supports two types of variables. Personal variables — such as your name and contact details — are set once and are available in all templates. Template variables are specific to a presentation, such as a client name or project title. Fill in the value once, and it's automatically applied to every slide and text block where the variable appears. That keeps data consistent and error-free.

The administrator sets, per template, which folders in the photo library are shown. If images are specific to a particular type of presentation, you create a separate template for that.

In KeySlides you select the placeholder — even if it already contains an image — and click the Photo Library button. The new photo is placed on the same layer. So you never need to move elements forward or backward.

The template can be extended with up to fifty custom colors. See the Template check page for more improvements I can make to templates. See the template check.

The template can be extended with one or more table styles, giving you control over background colors, text colors, borders, and border weight. See the Template check page for more information. See the template check.

KeySlides itself doesn't offer chart content, but I can build an Excel file with example charts in your branding. KeySlides can then show a ribbon button to open that file. It's also possible to develop chart templates or an Excel add-in. Get in touch to discuss the options. Get in touch.

KeySlides is installed per user with a configuration file pointing to the content library. To work, the content must be synced locally at least once. After that, KeySlides also works offline. When you're online, updates are fetched automatically.
